Petrology Lab
Petrology lab is equipped with the latest Leica DM 2700P Petrological Research Microscope. Petrology Lab offers to the needs of the various disciplines of Earth Science to carry out research on fundamental and applied aspects of igneous, sedimentary, metamorphic petrology.
AAS Lab
The Department maintains a sophisticated trace metal analytical laboratory supported by DST-FIST funding installed with PerkinElmer Atomic Absorption Spectrometer(AAS).
Geochemistry Lab
The Geochemistry Laboratories use different analytical instruments to investigate the geochemical composition and properties of water and Sediments.
Sedimentology Lab
The laboratory has facility for both wet and dry sample analysis. The Lab is equipped with Ro tap Mechanical Sieve Shaker, Various Sieve meshes and glass wares for carrying out Pipette analysis and heavy minerals.
Geology Museum
The department is maintaining a museum with approximately 3000 well identified, preserved and displayed samples of rocks, minerals and fossils. Most of the specimens were procured by the students during their study tour the alumni has also contributed their share to the collection. The museum att
