- A workshop on petrography for research scholars and college/university faculty members of south India will be conducted in the month of August.
- A national/international seminar on “Precambrian Crustal Evolution and Plate Tectonics” will be conducted this year as part of the golden jubilee celebrations.
- After the success of Aventurine-2018 & 2018, the department decided to conduct Aventurine-2020 with the participation of more colleges and universities all over the Kerala.
- Department decided to offer a certificate course on Geographic Info
